Cincinnati Bengals Ice Dye

Bengals ice dye packs serious visual punch. The orange Procion MX we use for this colorway is vibrant and aggressive — it saturates cotton fibers intensely and creates bold, unapologetic color. Under ice, this orange splits into warm components: golden amber at the edges where the dye is lightest, and deep burnt orange in the concentrated areas where ice pools and melts slowly.

The black creates dramatic contrast, and on ice-dyed fabric, the boundary between orange and black is where the most interesting effects happen. Instead of a clean line, you get a fiery gradient — deep rust, chocolate brown, and amber tones that transition from the black shadows into the bright orange highlights. The effect is genuinely reminiscent of tiger stripes, which feels perfectly on-brand without us needing to add any design.

We often use a spiral fold technique for Bengals colorways, concentrating orange and black on alternating sections. As the ice melts, the colors bleed into each other along curved lines, creating organic stripe patterns that evoke the team's identity through pure color chemistry.
