This gray geode crewneck is built around cool gray tones and the broken, mineral-like movement of ice dye. The fleece-lined sweatshirt keeps the colorway on one familiar, unisex shape.
I place powdered dye over mounded ice and let the melt carry gray into the folded fabric. Some areas take more dye while others stay pale, making the geode-like divisions specific to that one sweatshirt; the next melt cannot trace the same lines.
I hand dye the gray geode crewneck in York, Pennsylvania; cold wash this mineral-toned sweatshirt inside out and tumble dry low.
