DIY Ice Dye Box

This DIY box provides quality supplies and instructions for first-time dyers, experienced makers, crafters, and small shop owners to create ice-dyed pieces at home. Choose Carnival Colorway, Patriotic, Bonfire, Mermaid, Navy and Maroon, Barbie, Wicked Watermelon, Black Electric Green and Purple, or Halloweentown.

The process starts by folding the fabric, soaking it in soda ash, placing it beneath mounded ice, and scattering dry dye powder across the top. A roughly twenty-four-hour melt lets the selected colors split, blend, and settle through the folds into a pattern that will not repeat.

The kit uses the same quality of supplies Maria works with in her York, Pennsylvania studio. The instructions leave room for each maker's own color placement and folds.
