Hand-dyed by Maria in York, Pennsylvania · one at a time since 2015

This fleece-lined crewneck is ice dyed in black and blue, with the blue moving into darker sections across the pullover. The two-color treatment gives this sweatshirt its entire surface design.

I fold and soda-ash the pullover, cover it with ice, and place dry dye over the mound. The long melt sends blue and black through different channels every time, making the boundaries on this crewneck impossible to repeat exactly.

I dye the black and blue pullover by hand in York, Pennsylvania; wash cold inside out and hang or tumble low.
