Floorboard Findings dyes for a small number of boutiques, campgrounds, fire departments, schools and small businesses. Every piece is made by one person, by hand, in York, Pennsylvania — which is the reason the work is worth stocking and also the reason we cannot take every account that asks.
What we make
Hand ice-dyed apparel on quality blanks: crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies, short and long sleeve tees, tanks and joggers. Comfort Colors, Bella+Canvas, Gildan, Independent Trading Co. and Jerzees, depending on the weight and hand-feel you want.
We also print — DTF and sublimation — on our own hand-dyed blanks or on plain stock. A printed design on a one-of-a-kind dyed blank is something a catalog supplier cannot sell your customer, and it is the thing our stockists tend to sell out of first.
How a wholesale batch works
- Tell us what you need. Colorway, styles, size run and quantities. If you do not know the colorway yet, send us a photograph of anything — a sunset, a jersey, a logo — and we will tell you honestly whether ice dye can get there.
- We quote the batch and a dye window. You get a written turnaround window with every quote, based on what is already on the schedule. We do not quote a window we cannot hold.
- Your pieces are dyed together. Everything in one batch goes into the ice at the same time in the same dye, so the run reads as a family. No two pieces are identical — that is how ice dye works, and it is what your customer is buying.
- Rinsed, washed, pressed, folded and shipped. Every piece is rinsed until the water runs clear before it is packed.
Minimums
- 12 pieces per style, per colorway for a standard batch.
- Mixed sizes within a style are fine and expected — we will recommend a size run from what actually sells if you want one.
- Smaller test batches are sometimes possible for a first order. Ask.
Who this works for
Boutiques that want something their neighbors cannot order from the same catalog. Campgrounds, resorts and fire departments that want branded apparel people actually wear. Small businesses that want staff shirts with a bit of life in them.
It does not work for anyone who needs hundreds of identical pieces. Ice dye cannot produce identical pieces, and we would rather say so now than disappoint you later.
