The crown is already sewn into a curve and the brim is topstitched in tight rings, so meltwater runs around those seams instead of straight through them. That tends to leave the brim banded and the crown more open, which is a look you cannot plan in advance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese blanks are stocked in my studio in York, Pennsylvania, and they are the same ones I dye myself.
